The Lake Chelan Valley Bike Plan will develop a long-term vision for bicycling in the Lake Chelan Valley. This effort will be guided by the Chelan-Douglas Transportation Council (CDTC) with community input and guidance from local stakeholders in Chelan, Manson and surrounding areas.
CDTC is responsible for regional transportation planning. Our work includes planning for active transportation, including bicycling and walking. We recently updated the Wenatchee Valley Bicycle Master Plan in 2018 and now our bicycle planning focus will shift to the Lake Chelan Valley area.
This plan will become a supporting document to the regional transportation plan – Transportation 2040. The CDTC Governing Board has supported the development of regional bike plans to connect our communities with safe and comfortable cycling routes that will provide residents with alternative and economical transportation options.
This will be a stakeholder driven planning process completed over a series of meetings in 2019.
